Teaching
Statistics courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level, focused on applied methods and building genuine understanding rather than recipe-following.
Courses
BI3010: Statistical Analysis of Biological Data
A 3rd year course focused on building genuine statistical understanding in biological sciences, from linear models through to GLMs. The goal is for students to understand the theory well enough to apply it to their own questions, particularly when they reach their honours projects. R and ggplot2 are used throughout.
